i woke up today around 8:30am. brendan and i tidied up around the house. then, we got in the car and headed toward jackson. i stopped the car along the way so we could get out and look at some cows. they were very dark black and young.

we got to jackson. i got some supplies, a book about ornithology, a really cute journal, and some sweaters. i don’t like being too hot to wear long sleeves. i’m looking forward to autumn, but i’m scared that winter will bring me down for a while.

there was a group of sand sculptures at the shopping mall. there was a contest. one of the sculptures was influenced by jim henson and kermit the frog. another one depicted a clock tower in madison. there was a huge sculpture in the middle, but it was a castle.
